CBS America and SDSU announce swine research collaboration

Exploring new opportunities for innovation with emphasis on feed technology

Brookings, SOUTH DAKOTA — New insights to drive innovation for the next generation of pig farming are the focus of a new research collaboration announced by CBS America and South Dakota State University (SDSU).

The new three-year alliance builds upon a previous five-year relationship, comprising research teamwork and related student development support, to explore new opportunities for producing quality pork sustainably and profitably – with a main emphasis on nutrition and feed technology interventions.

CBS America brings a wealth of technical and commercial expertise to the alliance, as the new U.S. focused division of CBS Inc. – a Canada-headquartered leader in feed science platforms for livestock industries that continues to expand internationally. SDSU has a strong swine program, with research in the areas of nutrition and reproduction, swine courses and extension programming.
